As Marketing Strategist, you will be working with the marketing team behind the commercial business that amplifies our mission of “Inspire Creativity and Bring Joy”. You will help create the TikTok For Business brand and establish TikTok as an entertainment platform that drives impact. This role will report into the Marketing & Content Solutions Lead in Australia & New Zealand.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to develop platform vision for brands’ presence on TikTok, and provide the inspiration, blueprint, analysis, and leadership to realise your proposed vision;
  • Plan and execute strategic playbooks for different industries and verticals, generate insights, ideas and strategies that further media partnerships with major categories;
  • Lead content development for 1P and 3P industry events and GBM programs;
  • Work with product, research, and marketing science teams to develop narratives and solutions that reach a mass audience;
  • Utilise internal and external databases and research platforms (GWI, App Annie, Euromonitor, etc) to generate user insights, and use those insights to inform proposals and media planning approach;
  • Strong knowledge of the platform to educate clients in creative approaches, including insights on how users use the platform, evolving advertising formats and the correlated measurement for success.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree with 5+ years of experience in digital media and marketing at media agency or publisher, with knowledge of digital third-party servers, measurement, content and media verification partners;
  • Excellent skills in Google Suite and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Knowledge of media syndicated research, media billing and ad servers; and proven ability to utilise multiple data tools to build platform insight and consumer analysis;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, especially the mobile, social landscape in AUS;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; Must be comfortable presenting ideas to leadership and clients, and speaking at industry events;
  • Self-starter who is detail-oriented and has the ability to work independently and as a team across different departments;

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of TikTok as a platform with history of integrating the platform into previous projects (relevant to applicants from other advertisers / media agencies)
  • Strong understanding of the TikTok product suite and campaign best practice
  • Experience working closely with event marketers; experience creating run of show documents for large scale events, experience leading speaker briefings and/or is well-connected across the industry with a view to influence guest speaker selection at TikTok events.
