POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Web Developer is a dynamic role that combines web development skills with the creativity of Corporate Marketing. This position involves designing, developing, and managing websites and web applications to align with marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in full stack marketing web development, including proficiency in content management systems like WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, PHP, as well as experience with marketing tools and analytics.
Key responsibilities include researching new technologies, collaborating with web designers, adhering to digital brand guidelines, and implementing new features to enhance user experience. Qualifications for this role also include experience in front-end development and strong communication skills.
Overall, this role is crucial for bridging the gap between technical development and marketing objectives, ensuring that web assets effectively support the brand and its marketing goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in software development, including front-end development, in a corporate/enterprise environment.
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in full stack marketing web development.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining responsive websites.
  • Experience with JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Typescript), jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
  • Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
  • Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent styles across platforms and browsers.
  • Ability to convert comprehensive layouts and wireframes from UX design tools (e.g. Figma and Adobe) into working HTML pages.
  • Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
  • Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
  • Deep understanding of WordPress and WordPress templates.
  • Strong proficiency in content management systems (WordPress).
  • Strong proficiencies in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, and front-end frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Proficiency in browser developer tools, building and automation tools, web performance.
  • Proficiency in PHP back-end development.
  • Experience with Version Control/Git, responsive design, testing, and debugging.
  • Experience with/knowledge of Cloudflare, Nginx, Ubuntu, AWS, DevOps practices is a plus.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills are required.
  • Effective business communications are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and passion for delivering excellence in customer service.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
  • Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio, e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.
  • Environmental: Office environment – no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

    Targeted Salary Range: $86,940 to $118,300 annually
    Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and keep up with the most recent technologies.
  • Partner with web designers for collaboration and information-sharing.
  • Adhere to digital brand guidelines to create consistency across web assets.
  • Design and implement new features and functionality.
  • Establish and guide the website’s architecture.
  • Ensure high-performance and availability, optimize web applications for maximum speed/scalability.
  • Manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
  • Help formulate an effective, responsive design and turn it into a working theme.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure a cohesive user experience.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Document Guild analytics data source tools (e.g. Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio).
  • Communicates/Coordinates with internal IT and vendors.
  • Coordinate, research, and troubleshoot reported errors on company websites.
  • Collaborate with DevOps on hosting, website publishing, and maintenance.
  • Adhere and remain compliant with Compliance and Marketing ADA policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to digital brand guidelines to create consistency across Guild web assets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
