JOB DESCRIPTION

You are passionate about leading and managing regulatory and control projects, ensuring their successful execution? That role if for you.
As a Markets Business Control Management Project Manager within the Commercial and Investment Bank ( CIB) Controls Management team, you will be responsible for overseeing project implementation plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving strategic initiatives that enhance the control environment within the CIB.
You will develop and implement First Line of Defence governance and controls, work closely across various lines of business within the CIB. As part of the CIB Finance and Business Management (F&BM) team, Controls Management is responsible for control design, implementation, evaluation, and representation to both internal and external parties, including regulatory bodies across jurisdictions. As a First Line of Defence function, Control Management you will apply a business perspective to a range of control and regulatory initiatives. You will encompass a broad agenda of strategic importance to the CIB and the wider firm, offering significant exposure to a range of issues and connectivity to various parts of the organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues across various teams within the CIB lines of business and support functions.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing complex projects and initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

  • Extensive experience in Controls, Compliance, or Business Management, with a deep understanding of the Markets business.
  • Proven track record in project management, with the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Strong ability to identify areas of efficiency and process improvements.
  • Self-driven, inquisitive, analytical, and resilient mindset.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and the ability to challenge the status quo effectively.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of project implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expedite project execution, which may involve conducting data analysis, identifying solutions, producing business requirement documentation, engaging key stakeholders, coordinating technical implementation plans including UAT, and creating key management update documentation.
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance on control and regulatory initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Represent the CIB Controls Management organization in interactions with internal and external parties, including regulatory bodies.
  • Identify areas for efficiency and process improvements, driving continuous enhancement of the control environment.
