Mask Fit Tester
Department: Occupational Health and Safety
Program: Human Resources
Temporary Full Time (2 Months)
Days - 8 Hour Shifts (Subject to Change)

Salary: $25.750 - $33.740 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Manager, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), and working together with the OHS Specialists/Associates, the Occupational Health & Safety Associate - Respiratory Protection, provides support to the OHS team by providing mask fit testing to Lakeridge Health team members as well as related administrative functions to support the Lakeridge Health Respiratory Protection Program and other H&S programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of Post-secondary education in a related field (Certificate, diploma, or degree in Occupational Health & Safety);
- 1 year experience in a health and safety-related role preferred
- Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative respirator fit tests an asset
- Knowledge of or ability to learn techniques for adult education/training an asset
- Demonstrated ability in MS Office programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team/cooperative approach & independently within the scope of the position
- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Health & Safety programs including the Personal Protective Equipment and Respiratory Protection Policies and Procedures
- Provide staff education on the proper use and handling of personal protective equipment, including the safe use of respirators as per the CSA standards, provincial guidance, and best practices
- Conduct quantitative respirator fit testing, and if required, qualitative fit testing
- Maintain fit testing records in the confidential employee record section of the Parklane computer system
- Prepare and maintain fit test equipment, respirator supplies and respirators
- Prepare and distribute compliance reports
- Provide assistance to various members of the OHS team and support team functions as needed
- Other duties as assigned
