Your role
As Master Data Application Owner (m/f/d) at Symrise you’ll be part of our Finance Center of Excellence and lead one of our Core Teams. You cover the entire Symrise scope and focus on all types of master data. Symrise operates a large material portfolio with a challenge to identify and consolidate a significant number of duplicates and trades with roughly 70.000 customers, for which the duplication issue is also sensitive. Symrise also operates around 15.000 cost objects for which the ability to handle organizational changes will be key as well as the consolidation of more than 160 legal entities in more than 60 countries worldwide.

This Position can be located in Holzminden - Germany, Clichy - France or Rennes - France.

• You manage a small core team in Finance CoE and maintain and animate a virtual organization in businesses of MDOs and Key users, which will develop step by step following the projects deployment.
• You develop a master data governance model, to sustain a high level of data management quality, in close alignment with business functions.
• You coordinate the collection of business needs and project requirement, evaluate, and elaborate the overall project portfolio and master data deployment strategic roadmap. The master data strategy is developed based on input from divisional or segment MDO, who represent the business functions in the master data strategy and supported by the ITA. These projects can be of various sorts:
• Consolidate master data objects and identify duplicates, evaluate quality etc.
• Deploy master data management workflows to centralize master data maintenance in MDG.
• Harmonize critical dimension of maser data and eventually support ERP related changes.
• Support business projects requiring master data expertise: M&A integration, business reorganization, etc.
• You act as business project manager in the early implementation steps, which aims at setting up the platform and consolidate master data in MDG. A first project is scheduled to start in Q4 2024, to build a materials, customers, and finance corporate directory.
• You support integration of newly acquired entities by providing expertise and solutions to integrate their master data and enable a fast integration of their data in Symrise analytic landscape.
• You align and support MDOs with enabling actions and tools, either around training and knowledge management, or data quality assessment, methodology and planning of their actions in master data management.
• You monitor and secure the timely update of master data in central platform of all entities, either automatically or manually, and confirm master data quality.
