Description:

We are seeking an exceptional, detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 4 years of experience in freight forwarding industry for the position of Master Data Management Specialist in Kuala Lumpur.
In this role you will take a leading role in managing and optimizing our master data processes, ensuring high standards of data quality and integrity. This position will involve strategic data management, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Data Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and updating of master data records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards i.e. maintain and add master data in the Transport Management System (ACOP)
  • Data Analysis: Conduct detailed data analysis to identify patterns, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance data management processes and systems.
  • Leadership: Mentor junior data management staff and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Project Management: Lead data management projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders (operations, finance, IT) to understand data needs and support business initiatives.
  • Reporting: Generate and present reports on data quality, trends, and improvements to senior management.
  • Shift Work: Must be willing to work in a shift that supports European countries, ensuring data management activities align with their business hours.
  • Administration:Administrate the Global Address Book in the in-house system. Escalate discrepancies to the Business Development Manager in charge for Delivery Agent, Chief Finance Officer for credit terms, or send back to the requester. Administrate the Mother Vessel Shipping Schedules, Carriers, and Ports based on the requests from the requester..
