POSITION SUMMARY:

The Material Handler is instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and parts within our facility. Responsibilities include identifying, counting, and handling materials with precision, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining inventory. Adherence to proper material handling and shipping protocols is crucial. They prepare and inspect parts for shipment, label and pack products meticulously, and provide support in Receiving operations. Their versatility extends to assisting in shipping operations, operating a forklift, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area.

  • Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm
  • Pay Range: The typical hiring range for this position is from $19.00 - $24.50 hourly; the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently identify, count, and handle materials and parts, ensuring accuracy in picking and movement.
  • Thoroughly verify part identification by meticulously reviewing related paperwork and visually inspecting for any damage or discrepancies.
  • Conduct cycle counts and maintain physical inventory in accordance with established procedures.
  • Adhere strictly to proper material handling and shipping protocols to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Prepare and meticulously inspect parts for shipment, ensuring they meet quality standards and are properly packaged.
  • Accurately label and pack products for storage or shipment, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ensure seamless communication by routing paperwork promptly to all relevant departments.
  • Execute tasks with precision to maintain operational efficiency and prevent any delays in schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels of routine packaging supplies to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Provide support in Receiving operations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to assist in various tasks.
  • Ability to assist in shipping operations as needed, including preparing shipments, labeling packages, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ability to operate a forklift to meet operational needs, including moving materials, loading/unloading shipments, and supporting warehouse activities.
  • Ability to uphold cleanliness standards in the work area to ensure a safe and organized environment, including taking out trash and cardboard.
  • Perform additional duties as required, including but not limited to replenishing supplies and archiving files.
