JOB DESCRIPTION
We are hiring an experienced material handler professional with ability to bring in new ideas to increase efficiency. This role also entails marshaling project specific components for the manufacturing assembly areas. Receives, stores, manages and controls inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to analyze current processes in the stock room, create more collaborative and efficient methods to complete tasks and implement
- Previous experience in stock room management.
- Prvious experience with computer inventory/material management systems
- Ability to evaluate complex inventory management projects, and outline/implement effective and efficient solutions
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Operate overhead crane, forklift truck, and other lifting devices.
- Able to work on shifts
- Ability to work effectively is a fast paced working environment
Responsibilities:
- Ability to identify complex inventory challenges, take the lead to manage and implement effective solutions
- Develop lean flow characteristics for the continuous evolution of our changing products
- Assess problems, create collaborative and efficient solutions that focus on alignment with all the stock keepers and their processes
- Carry out job marshalling activities and ensure that material and parts assigned to specific jobs are properly identified, counted, and placed in designated racks.
- Ensure that Bills of Material are updated to reflect current marshalling position.
- Production support of the assembly team for non-conforming material/designs related changes
- Complete quarterly cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
- Support material orders from Husky’s global manufacturing business units
- Ensure that materials and parts are properly identified and stored in a manner consistent with good housekeeping, materials handling, and department inventory practices.
- Request and maintain adequate stock levels for operating supplies, miscellaneous items, and free-issue type of material.
- Maintain accurate and up to date operating records and files, work centers, visibility, and short lists.
- Produce exception reports that depict potential shortages to the assembly line.
