JOB DESCRIPTION
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Material Handler II to join our team at our Hillsboro, OR facility. As a Material Handler II, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Manufacturing groups and providing exceptional customer service. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the production of world-class electron microscopes that are used by scientists and engineers around the globe.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Computer proficiency: Internet, Microsoft Excel, Outlook
- Inventory system or ERP experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a Cleanroom environment for 8+ hours a day
- Well-organized and can multi-task efficiently
- Diligent and able to detail accurately
- Good general understanding of warehouse operations and procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to routinely interact effectively with inside customers in a friendly and encouraging manner via phone, email, and in-person
- Able to work both independently as well as to have good communication in a team
- Able to work optimally in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally, using appropriate lifting techniques

Responsibilities:
- Conduct and accurately record daily Cycle Counts
- Provide upbeat customer service to Production personnel
- Pull daily work orders per approved process applying approved ESD and cleanliness guidelines
- Move and transact inventory material per process
- Transact Quality Control documents per process for the warehouse
- Assist with all shipping/receiving/work order management functions as time permits or as required
