POSITION OVERVIEW:
Startec Compression & Process is currently recruiting a Material Handler to work at our Shepard Shop (9423 Shepard Rd SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 4R6). The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring efficient and seamless management of materials and inventory within the warehouse.
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Materials Handler will be responsible for the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials required for various projects, working closely with procurement teams, and project managers. This position requires a candidate with a strong understanding of P&IDs, pipefitting, and raw materials. The Materials Controller/ Receiver will focus on maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing stock levels, and ensuring compliance with effective inventory control measures. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3+ years of working experience in warehouse operations and materials management.
- Forklift experience/certification.

- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
