REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Qualification as a Material Laboratory Technician, Material tester
  • Relevant professional experience in a similar role, demonstrating comparable responsibilities

Experience

  • Several years experience in related area such as materialography and surface treatments
  • Know-how in Mechanical Testing of Materials (e.g. Tensile testing)
  • Know-how in MS Office and SAP

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

This position is primarily responsible for performing incoming inspections and material releases for global production sites. The role also provides expertise in materialography as an internal service to support departments such as R&D, quality and marketing. Additionally, the position involves applying various surface treatments to different materials, primarily through etching processes, to support research and development projects.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Incoming Material Inspection: Perform thorough inspections and release of raw materials for production
  • Sample Preparation & Analysis: Prepare section cuts, conduct photo documentation, and interpret results on samples and products for quality control and development purposes
  • Corrosion & Lifetime Investigations: Analyze the corrosion and durability of dental instruments as part of product development and introduction
  • Validation & Verification (V&V): Carry out section cuts and documentation on implant systems to support product introduction and compliance
  • Specimen Preparation: Prepare various specimens and implants with standardized surface treatments for testing and development
