Tasks
- Add your valuable perspective as a materials engineer into the assessment, evaluation, and supervision of the manufacturing processes
- Analyse deviations in material manufacturing and develop corrective measures
- Participate in the qualification of material suppliers
- Support various engineering departments in material selection using internal and external material databases
- Research material for future applications in the field of turbomachinery
- Collaborate with internal departments such as quality assurance, design, calculation, and procurement
Requirements
- Successfully completed studies in the field of materials engineering (metallic materials), metallurgy, or equivalent degree
- Initial professional experience in materials engineering desirable
- Knowledge in areas such as steels, Ni-alloys, Al-alloys, casting, forging, corrosion, and ultrasonic testing
- Ability for analytical thinking and independent learning in new subject areas
- Excellent German and English language skills in writing and speaking
- Willingness to travel
- Team and communication skills
