Tasks

  • Add your valuable perspective as a materials engineer into the assessment, evaluation, and supervision of the manufacturing processes
  • Analyse deviations in material manufacturing and develop corrective measures
  • Participate in the qualification of material suppliers
  • Support various engineering departments in material selection using internal and external material databases
  • Research material for future applications in the field of turbomachinery
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as quality assurance, design, calculation, and procurement

Requirements

  • Successfully completed studies in the field of materials engineering (metallic materials), metallurgy, or equivalent degree
  • Initial professional experience in materials engineering desirable
  • Knowledge in areas such as steels, Ni-alloys, Al-alloys, casting, forging, corrosion, and ultrasonic testing
  • Ability for analytical thinking and independent learning in new subject areas
  • Excellent German and English language skills in writing and speaking
  • Willingness to travel
  • Team and communication skills
