Description:
Feel the Drive – for us that means making mobility something you can experience with all your senses. We work for more comfort, wind in your hair, the perfect temperature in every season and driving with a clear conscience - for a safe and sustainable future.
We make mobility fun – are you there?
Our “Roof & Components (RC)” business unit develops and produces roof systems for every type of vehicle and autonomous driving. To achieve this, we rely on the most modern technologies and materials. Are you technically skilled and enthusiastic about product innovations? Then use your expertise and passion to help shape our success story.
Do you like to take responsibility with a longterm-view? For the expansion of our production site for automotive glass (roofs, windshields and rear windows) in Grevenmacher (Luxembourg), we are looking for committed colleagues (f/m/d) who will help shape our success story with their expertise and passion.
Responsibilities:
- Drive expert opinion to understand issues related to material behaviour including microstructure, optics, stress, and failure mode. Partner with Product Development Engineers on best project outcomes
- Serve as technical checkpoint to ensure testing or simulation accurately depicts real world application, including consideration of potential failure modes
- Use state of the art lab equipment, critically analyse test results to understand true product behaviour at the material level and then make informed recommendations for product improvement (Including clear & concise technical reports)
- Participate in University/RTO outreach and co-development programs, coordinate their execution
- Based on customer requirements, devise standards, Product Verification Plans and best in class procedures for prototype testing of novel ideas/concepts. This may include technologies such as coating, laminations, electronics, and associated assemblies
- Through work with R&D team or beyond, participate on benchmarking and IP generation, being first to market
