JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Material Scientist or Chemical Engineer with a strong background in material synthesis, shaping, and advanced characterization techniques. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing novel materials for applications in lithium extraction and beyond.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Exceptional candidates with a B.Sc. and significant research or industry experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrated expertise in material synthesis and shaping, particularly for advanced sorbents, catalysts, or similar materials.
- Proficiency in material characterization techniques and familiarity with cutting-edge analytical tools.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory or industrial setting, including research internships or post-graduate work.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation software.
- Proven ability to design experiments and drive innovation in material development.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- A track record of publications or patents in material science is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Design, synthesize, and shape advanced solid sorbents and materials for lithium extraction and related applications.
- Develop and optimize laboratory methods for material synthesis, modification, and testing.
- Conduct in-depth characterization of materials using advanced analytical techniques such as XRD, ICP, SEM, BET surface area analysis, and others as required.
- Lead experimental efforts to evaluate and improve material performance in laboratory and simulated environments.
- Analyze and interpret complex experimental data, ensuring high-quality data collection and documentation.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and provide insights to the R&D team and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to innovate and develop new materials and methodologies.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in material science and incorporate best practices into research and development activities.
- Maintain laboratory safety protocols, ensuring adherence to regulatory and industry standards.
