Description:

The Materials Analyst will develop and oversee accurate demand forecasts of all line items for their accountable segment of the business by using a combination of statistical forecasting integrated with insight from internal business units to ensure consistent integration into the forecast of customer insights, base business trends, new item volumes and seasonal volume with the goal of reducing working capital and minimizing forecast error. Continually improves quality, delivery and total cost of products and services to assure the continued success of ATS in the market place.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE(S) / EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Technical degree preferred or BBA with technical work experience within the automotive industry.
  • Demonstrated experience within the OEM automotive manufacturing environment desired.
  • Experience with PC based inventory/work processing software.
  • Program management skills and experience.
  • International sourcing experience required.
  • Experience with supplier continuous improvement development and implementation programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead material planning activities to assure Production of just in time material flow.
  • Lead and coordinate Supply Chain activities to sustainable world class performance (On Time Delivery, Supplier Quality, and Inventory Turns).
  • Lead Supply Base Productivity and Cost reduction Initiatives.
  • Serve as Supplier Development and Relationship contact, work to implement vendor qualification process and monitoring of new programs and performance metrics.
  • Responsible for supplier development from low cost countries
  • Contribute to a High Performance Sourcing Team
  • May be assigned special projects as work load permits.
