As a Materials Control and Laboratory Manager in the Alternative Projects Center of Expertise at Pomerleau Construction , you will play a key role in ensuring the traceability of materials incorporated into the work and in planning on-site laboratory tests. Supporting our work on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion - you will ensure that materials comply with established standards, and that resources are properly mobilized to cover all testing and control activities.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Plan and coordinate on-site and factory laboratory tests.
- Ensure that tests are carried out in accordance with the standards and frequencies specified in the contract.
- Maintain calibration and verification records for measuring instruments.
- Implement and monitor material quality control procedures, ensuring conformity of results.
- Identify and report any non-conformities or deviations from technical specifications.
- Submit laboratory deliverables (test reports, analyses, statistics) to customer representative on time.
- Ensure the quality of materials supplied by subcontractors with the help of technical and construction teams.
- Maintain up-to-date register of materials delivered, including proofs and supporting documents.
- Record the results of tests and inspections carried out on materials.
- Coordinate expert reports required to close non-conformities.
THIS ROLE COULD BE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE
- 10+ years relevant experience in construction and materials quality control on construction projects.
- Mastery of material testing standards (concrete, steel, aggregates, etc.).
- Good work organization skills, identifying priorities and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Ability to communicate in a way that is clearly understood, using quality oral and written language.
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious interpersonal relations.
- Demonstrate leadership skills.
- Fluency in French written and oral.
- Good synthesis and analysis skills.
