What you will be doing

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration or supply chain, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a post secondary education program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:


  • Experience with data analysis and concepts desirable, such as inventory usage, inventory turns, inventory velocity, cause and effect analysis, root cause analysis, etc.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Must have ability to work independently and manage work in a “project” structure with tasks, milestones, deadlines, and progress tracking

  • Strong decision making skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of ABCC internal processes

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

  • Ability to resolve inventory issues effectively and efficiently

  • Knowledge of computers to operative effectively with purchasing system, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of the inventory and Returns process and same day activity
  • Establishes operational policies and ensures compliance and standardization with all company policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and monitors standard operating procedures. Develop and recommend improvements to promote efficiency in Distribution Center accuracy, improved service and lower costs.
  • Monitors the performance of associates to ensure compliance with policies, practices and approved standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring product is stored and arranged in locations that optimize total production efficiencies to include order fulfillment, put away, and replenishment tasks. Location types include, but are not limited to, static shelving, racking and carton flow rack
  • Utilizing the slotting software and other user-created queries/tools, define requirements for existing or projected storage configurations and provide item placement/move reports to facilitate product movement.
  • Working with applicable warehouse departments, create business goals, objectives, and constraints to configure the slotting tools to drive optimal and obtainable slotting results.
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule the various slotting inventory moves to maximize operational results and minimize operational cost and disruption.
  • Manage item categories and correct storage placement for items such as flammables, aerosols, cytotoxins, controls, chemicals, and frozen/refrigerated goods.
  • Ensure that new items are verified for accurate cubing and weighing.
  • Responsible for daily tracking and summary reporting of inventory adjustments, cycle counts and returns
  • Collaborates with receiving team on receiving errors
  • Identifies, evaluates projects and upon approval directs their completion and ensures sustainability controls are in place upon completion
  • Reviews monthly short dated items with quantity on hand query
  • Initiate Destruction requests.
  • Responsible for maintaining the open slots available for new sku’s
  • Management of Inventory Cycle and Annual counts including variance processing with Distribution Manager
  • Assist the Distribution Manager in hiring, terminating, performance management, development and training of associates
  • Understanding terms and conditions of client return policies.
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory
  • Update monthly metrics for Returns processing and Inventory Counts.
  • Returns processing through WMS Systems
  • Validate system credits against customer credits and notify accounting of any issues
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
