Stuart Olson is searching for a materials Technician who is local to the Red Deer (area) to join us with an immediate start date. QUALIFICATIONS
- Materials Technician Ticket is an asset
- Previous warehouse experience is required
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Strong knowledge of Pipe Fittings, Valves, Electrical, Instrumentation, Millwright, Welding material.
- Knowledge of Alberta OH&S as it relates to the warehouse and processes is required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be clean shaven
Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance
Stand or walk for long periods of time
Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects

Responsibilities:
- Receiving materials, document processing, parts issuing and inventory control
- Receive incoming orders of material for onsite support
- Prepare documentation to ship domestic and international is an asset
- Identify changes to workflow or problems associated with task execution and report to supervision
- Conduct and participate in pre-job toolbox meetings and Pre-Task Analysis to identify potential hazards and opportunities to eliminate or minimize them
- Perform work without damage to tools or equipment
- Return all tools (clean) back to the proper area after the job is complete or at the end of the shift
- Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment while performing tasks
- Maintain positive relations with client and co-workers through effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Correct unsafe acts and bring unsafe conditions to the attention of immediate supervisor
- Review Safe Work Procedures associated with the job prior to task execution
- Carry out work in a manner that will not jeopardize own/others safety
- High degree of Safety Awareness and commitment to safety, his/her own and other workers
- Required to operate equipment e.g., Forklift class 2, class 5 & class 7, Delivery van, 1 Ton truck & trailer.
