Introduction to the Job
As a materials engineer working in TechnipFMC Norway you will be part of a strong technical team of 40 experts within materials engineering and will have the opportunity to develop as a discipline specialist.

Job Description

  • Responsible for Cathodic Protection (CP) of Subsea Processing Systems (SPS) and Subsea Umbilical, Riser and Flowlines (SURF)
  • Perform role as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting tenders, studies, FEEDs and projects on a regular basis
  • Carry out CP system design and estimate anode mass in accordance with requirements
  • Write technical specifications and reports
  • Interface with other engineering disciplines
  • Participate in customer clarification meetings in tender and project execution
  • Act as advisor to projects within own field of expertise; cathodic protection, anodes, corrosion

You are meant for this job if:

  • You have 1 - 5 years of experience working in subsea / oil and gas execution projects
  • You have expertise within one or more of following areas: electrochemistry, chemistry and/or materials engineering
  • You are familiar with Norwegian and International laws, regulations and industry standards related to materials engineering and manufacturing in subsea installations
  • You are fluent in English - verbal and written
  • You have strong communication skills and ability to build relationships and maintain credibility within the organization
  • You are structured with high sense of quality, cost awareness and on time performance
  • You are capable to generate results working both as part of a team and individually
  • You are adaptable to change and have a flexible mindset
  • Previous experience with Cathodic Protection calculations and/or corrosion assessment is an advantage
