Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Materials Management & Transportation Manager (Level K) to join the organization in Oklahoma City, OK on first shift support multiple programs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing and analyzing data for a cross-functional team
  • 5+ years of experience creatively solving problems and generating alternatives
  • 5+ years of experience leading, motivating and developing others
  • 5+ years of experience managing supply chain and/or logistics and/or transportation logistics for a large company or as a third-party logistics manager
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of experience managing supply chain and/or logistics and/or transportation logistics for a large company or as a third-party logistics manager
  • 3+ years of experience handling chemicals and/or hazardous materials
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and integrates employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
