POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, leads and directs the overall supply chain and qualified supplier process. Main objective is to qualify existing suppliers and seek out the lowest cost vendors that will meet or exceed the customer’s requirements.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• 8-10 years experience in managing supplier base working with Global Suppliers
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
• Attained Bachelors degree

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing international strategies, guidance, direction and support for supply chain management.
- Manage and direct the purchasing and planning activities of the Division headquarters
- Coordinate global contracts relating to transportation and third party logistics providers as appropriate.
- Seek new suppliers that will help reduce GDN overall spend
- Develop and implement a system to capture commodity, tooling and MRO spends and find methods for cost reduction
- Help support Export/Import Regulation and Corporate Policies
- Review and implement Duty Draw Back program when required
- Work with other similar GDI sites to find alternative sourcing to leverage buys
- Work with sister plants to support Low Cost country sourcing (ie; brazil, China, India)
- Develop and implement procedures to seek out suppliers that have the best value for the company
- Work with all sites to implement a performance rating system
- Working with internal Quality Assurance, Procurement and Engineering departments qualify new/old suppliers
- Work with LRP Division and GDI Corporate to implement a common system that define steps towards identifying and approving suppliers
- Manage safety stock levels across multiple plant codes to ensure the correct items are in stock when needed
- Plan and forecast inventory levels to aid in setting AOP / Revenue targetsWork with a cross-funtional team of internal stakeholders to manage and reduce Excess and Obsolete inventory
