Overview:
REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, we have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for collecting data entry, verification, reconciliation, communication and reporting of all material activity. Provides support to the facility in achieving financial objectives by developing and executing material plans that minimize total molten metal costs and working capital while maximizing the utilization of available material processing capacities. This role is the primary tactical interface between operations, sales and supply chain.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or engineering-related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in first line operations management. Working knowledge of the molten metal casting and related processes, preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and organization skills are essential.
  • Ability to use programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access preferred.
  • Decision Making – Must possess strong decision making and problem-solving skills including the ability to solve problems while exhibiting practical judgment and realistic understanding of the issues involved. Must be able to overcome obstacles and find reasonable resolutions to situations on a case-by-case basis as encountered. Must have the ability and confidence to make decision relating to role’s accountabilities. Must exercise discretion when determining if direction from manager is needed.
  • Analytical Thinking – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to recognize data needed in order to make decisions, collect that data, and analyze in order to determine direction in which to proceed. If issue is beyond authority level or scope of work, must recommend plan of action to manager in order to proceed.
