Description:
Our Materials Science branch is looking for a Materials Science Technologist!
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical testing of materials.
- Perform dimensional measurements on components with a variety of techniques (optical extensometry, laser, density measurements, etc.).
- Perform basic data analysis and document the results in reports.
- Ensure that the work is conducted to the appropriate Quality Assurance standards.
- Ensure the safe operation of laboratories.
- Perform routine sample preparation for optical microscopy, focused ion beam, transmission electron microscope, scanning electron microscope or X-ray diffraction analysis.
- May involve some use of instruments such as optical microscopes, focused ion beam / scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, or X-ray diffraction
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
