QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in engineering or chemistry, evidenced by a bachelor’s degree or HNC/HND, and bolstered by hands-on laboratory experience. While academic credentials are important, we highly value relevant practical experience and transferable skills. The ideal applicant will have:

- Familiarity with DAQ control hardware and software is highly desirable
- A background in maintaining and organizing a laboratory environment
- Solid capabilities in data processing and reporting, ensuring accuracy and clarity in the communication of results
- Knowledge of chemical analysis and testing would also be advantageous, although not essential
Responsibilities:
We’re seeking a skilled technician to join our Fracture Mechanics area within Blade Material Testing at Vestas. This role focuses on conducting various physical testing techniques on composite materials such as GRP and Carbon, which are integral to manufacturing wind turbine blades. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting tensile static and cyclic load testing to assess material endurance
- Performing impact testing to evaluate the resilience of composites
- Investigating environmental degradation to ensure long-term material reliability
- Overseeing the laboratory space, maintaining organization, ensuring stock levels, and overseeing equipment calibration
- Handling data processing, with a focus on producing and reporting precise results for internal review and further analysis
This position requires adherence to ISO/ASTM standards and offers a chance to contribute to supplier material qualification, prototype quality assurance, and critical incident investigations. If you possess a meticulous approach, prioritize attention to detail, and are eager to progress in an innovative industry, we invite you to join our inclusive team.
