Job Opening: After-School Math Tutor
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate After-School Math Tutor to join our team! This role involves tutoring students ranging from ages 3 to 15, helping them with their after-school learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct after-school math tutoring sessions for students ranging in age from 3 to 15 years, catering to various skill levels.
  • Create engaging and personalized lesson plans to meet each student’s individual needs and learning style.
  • Help students improve their understanding of key math concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, algebra, geometry, and more.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and tools to explain math concepts in a clear and accessible way.
  • Monitor students’ progress and provide regular feedback to both students and parents.
  • Encourage problem-solving skills and a positive attitude towards math.
  • Assist with homework assignments and provide guidance on school-related math tasks.
  • Maintain a positive, patient, and supportive learning environment that fosters student growth and self-confidence.

Requirements:

  • Availability to work on weekdays from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Occasional weekend availability is required as well.
  • A passion for teaching and working with children, with the ability to adapt to the needs of students.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex mathematical concepts.
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills to plan and manage lessons efficiently.
  • Capability to provide timely feedback and evaluation to students.

Work Experience:

  • Teaching experience, or relevant experience in education, tutoring, mentoring, or homeschooling, is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 36 per week
