Description:
The role, working alongside the existing ICU Matrons, will support the leadership of our vast ICU nursing workforce and lead the daily operations of our busy 27 bedded ICU.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, motivated, and positive individual who thrives on working as part of a team. You should be a clinical expert in the specialty of Critical Care, with previous experience of nursing leadership.
You should be passionate about advancing the field of Critical Care nursing and be able to inspire others to reach their maximum potential, identifying constructive solutions to problems and focusing on moving forwards.
You should be able to demonstrate innovation in practice, experience of contributing to quality improvement, have excellent communication and negotiation skills and can positively influence others.
To oversee the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care focused on improving outcomes and experiences for patients, families and carers.
As a key member of a multi professional team, ensure appropriate referral and discussion with other members of the team to optimise patient care.
To have local open and transparent communication channels that support the ICU team to do the right thing for people we care for, to be bold when they have good ideas and to speak up when things go wrong.
