We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Lead Nurse to assist in further developing a service to identify and manage patients with acute medical conditions that can be treated and managed in the same day environment.
Whilst the service is Consultant overseen the post holder will be responsible for the initial assessment of our patients and the planning/delivery of treatments. They will also, when required, have responsibility for the on-going management of patients working closely with other Divisions and our Primary Care Colleagues.
You will need to provide strong leadership and possess excellent clinical skills. The successful applicant will be expected to function effectively under pressure without compromising standards of care and professionalism. They must have advanced clinical expertise and be willing to participate in research and audit projects. In return we will offer excellent managerial support and commitment to personal professional development.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they can manage a dedicated team to deliver nursing care of the highest standards to our patients, while working under pressure.

We are proud to provide ‘Outstanding’ care and be a great place to work
We provide safe, compassionate and high quality care to half a million people living or visiting East Sussex. We are one of the largest organisations in East Sussex, the only integrated provider of acute and community care in Sussex. Our extensive services are provided by 7000 + members of staff working from acute hospitals in Hastings and Eastbourne, three community hospitals in Bexhill, Rye and Uckfield, over 100 community sites and in people’s own homes.
In 2020 the Care Quality Commission rated us as ‘Good’ overall, and ‘Outstanding’ for being caring and effective. The Conquest Hospital and our Community Services are rated ‘Outstanding’. Eastbourne DGH rated ‘Good’.
In 2020, the Trust launched its ambitious ‘Building for our Future’ programme. This once in a lifetime programme aims to repair, redevelop and expand our hospitals, transforming the environment in which we provide care for generations to come.
