YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

  • HNC/HND/Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering or related field coupled with applying this in an ME Environment
  • Previous experience in any of the following: Manufacturing Engineering, Process / Method Planning, NC Programming, Tool Definition, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing System Implementations or Facility Investment activities
  • To understand and interpret requirements, specifications, and engineering outputs to understand cost, Manufacturing System Implementations or Facility Investment activities

Desirable:

  • Understanding Lean Principles and appropriate selection/application
  • Conceptual and methodical thinking to describe and define processes and procedures

Responsibilities:

  • Significantly influence, collaborate and coordinate ME activities creating the future legacy for Ship-Building on the Clyde and in our customer facilities
  • Lead, develop and motivate assigned team members through positive, open and honest communications
  • Define & Approve Facilities, Equipment, Tooling and Processes where appropriate and confirm and approve team member work
  • Understand and Influence product design to define optimised products to meet operational capabilities
  • Agree, prioritise, schedule and plan activities to meet project/programme requirements
