Description:
Descripción del empleoMain Purpose of RoleUndertake client site based measurement instrumentation calibration duty activities primarily asssociated with Gas measurement, LNG/LPG import, export and client loading facilities located at within the Panama region as directed.Responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and calibration of: Online Gas measurement systems Analyzer/Chromatographs, pressure letdown and conditioning systems.
Custody standard & fiscal Gas metering systems including gas meter, pressure, temperature, density, (These include, but are not limited to auxiliary equipment, local flow computers PLCs, Local Control Panels, gas sample conditioning systems.
)Working individually, or as a member of a larger project team, contribute to the delivery of the department’s workload to ensure effective delivery of project activities within agreed timescales and budget and to meet client expectations and maximise revenue.Ensure objectives of the assignment are met within agreed timescale and budget to meet client expectations and maximise revenue.Further develop essential metering and measurement skills through practice, guidance of peers, self-study, and through external exposure to client operating site.Key AccountabilitiesAt all times, adopt safe behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues and clients, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct, and at all times adopt behaviour in accordance with SGS’s Equality & Diversity policy.Maintain organised and auditable systems of work in line with company QA procedures.Maintain and develop knowledge and understanding of current measurement technologies, standards, and industry legislation.Work closely with, and take direction from, team members, peers, or line manager to achieve timely and effective delivery of services to meet business objectives.Develop and maintain an understanding of measurement technologies, national and international standards, and industry guidelines to ensure high standards of engineering services are met at all times and client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.To liaise and develop sustainable relationships with new and existing customers.Current Challenges & OpportunitiesDevelop knowledge and understanding of measurement first principles.Develop and maintain knowledge of industry developments, advances and regulatory compliance.Broaden experience and application of API/ISO/AGA/GPA/EI/OIML measurement standards.Progress towards recognised formal engineering or related qualification.RequisitosQualificationsEssentialDegree/ HND in Engineering or related science based subject.Practical experience in Oil & Gas Industry including exposure to process engineering, measurement, or instrumentation domain.Excellent written and oral Spanish and second language English.DesirablePost Graduate qualification in specialised engineering, science based, or management related subject.Working on self initative
