Responsibilities:

  • Reviews fabrication drawings and specifications to understand dimensional features and tolerances for planned fabrications.
  • Reviews and follow work instructions and technique sheets related to measurement procedures for fabricated components.
  • Operates and maintains laser tracker systems utilized in the feature measurement of fabricated components.
  • Measures components for conformance to dimensional tolerances utilizing laser tracker, probes, gauges and other required tooling or measurement devices.
  • Generates and distribute timely reports on the status of component’s geometry dimensions and conformance.
  • Attends shift planning meetings to understand the fabrication throughput plan and reporting requirements for the shift.
  • Ensures adherence to project data management and reporting procedures for all assigned work.
  • General administration and reporting of daily activities.
  • Perform shop walks to check fabrication progress to anticipate and plan upcoming measurement activities.
  • Participate in Job Hazard assessments and shop safety inspections.
  • Participate in company-wide initiatives aimed at overall continuous improvement.
  • Other tasks as required or assigned.
