Progressive Meats are looking for staff who are a cut above the rest! We are a leading edge processor of Lamb and Beef in the sunny Hawke’s Bay.
Full-time permanent Meat Boner and Slicers are needed for 2025 and beyond.
One-year previous experience required, just bring your positive, proactive attitude and you will go far. We are Keen to provide you with the skills and experience to go far in the butchery trade.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A MEAT BONER AND SLICER INCLUDE:

• Grading carcasses
• Electronic certification
• Pre trim
• Saw Operation
• Boning individual cuts
• Packing finished product
  We currently have opportunities to for the right candidates to walk into roles available across our departments in Lamb/Beef Slaughter and further Processing Departments.

Department 10-hour Shift start times Monday to Friday are:

• Lamb Slaughter Dayshift 5:45 am, Nightshift 3:30 pm
• Lamb Boning Dayshift, 6:00 am, Nightshift 4:00 pm
• Beef Boning Dayshift 6:00 am
• Beef Slaughter Dayshift 5:45 am

Weekend availability required over Spring/Summer and Autumn.
There is a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours of work per week.
