Mechanic

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mechanic in the marine industry
• Strong knowledge of marine engines, systems, and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency repairs
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines, systems, and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and develop effective solutions
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure all equipment is in proper working condition
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
• Communicate effectively with other crew members and superiors regarding any mechanical issues or concerns
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations at all times
• Assist with emergency repairs and maintenance as needed
