Description:
Mechanic
Join easyJet’s renowned Engineering and Maintenance team and engage with all aspects of the airline’s operation to deliver the highest standards of aircraft performance. As a member of the team, you will play a part in delivering Europe’s highest technical despatch reliability as recognised by Airbus. With the current program introducing the cutting-edge NEO aircraft and the arrival of the A321 in 2018, there couldn’t be a better time to join us. As a Mechanic, you will perform defect rectification and routine servicing as directed, ensuring that all maintenance activity supports both regulatory standards and easyJet’s industry-leading safety and technical standards.
What you’ll be doing:
You will perform aircraft maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Certifying Licensed Engineer, ensuring all work requiring a Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) is completed per the MOE, EASA Requirements, and NAA regulations. You will be fully conversant with accomplishing allocated tasks and seek guidance for unfamiliar areas. A thorough verbal handover of any partially completed tasks is required, ensuring documentation is completed as far as possible. You will report any defects or safety risks to the Maintenance Supervisor or Base Manager, adhere to all safety precautions and procedures, comply with health and safety requirements, and ensure that all facilities, tools, and equipment are satisfactory for the tasks. Compliance with Station Standing Instructions and accepting other duties and responsibilities as reasonably requested are also essential. Additionally, you will carry out all scheduled tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor in accordance with approved maintenance documentation.
Responsibilities:
Candidates will demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of applicable airworthiness legislation and ideally hold a time-served apprenticeship with operational experience in a line maintenance environment. A high degree of customer focus, both internal and external, is essential. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a team at all levels of the organisation and show a willingness to be flexible to meet deadlines and overcome operational problems. Demonstrating a working knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation and technical knowledge of aircraft, along with the hand skills required to carry out tasks, is crucial. Additionally, the ability to use aircraft maintenance documentation and computer-based reporting and recording systems is required. We highly value candidates with education and experience in sheet metal work. This expertise will be a significant advantage in performing maintenance tasks efficiently within our EasyJet fleet
