Job Description

Mechanics play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable operation of mechanical equipment within the plant by performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.

• Maintenance and Repair:
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment used in the plant, including but not limited to pumps, motors, blowers, compressors, conveyors, valves, and other mechanical components.
• Follow manufacturer recommendations and established schedules to conduct regular inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacement.
• Alignment and Calibration:
• Ensure that shafts, belts, gears, and other mechanical components are properly aligned and calibrated to maintain precise operational parameters.
• Use precision tools and instruments to verify alignments and make necessary adjustments as per technical specifications.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
• Comply with regulatory requirements and company policies related to equipment maintenance and repair activities.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, parts replacement, and adjustments.
• Report findings, equipment status, and operational issues to supervisors or maintenance managers in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as a Mechanic in an industrial or plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and equipment used in manufacturing or processing operations.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose mechanical issues effectively.
• Attention to detail and precision in performing alignment, calibration, and adjustment tasks.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey technical information.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks requiring manual labor and work in varying conditions.
