Description:

Position Summary

  • Repair, troubleshoot and provide advice on mechanical parts.
  • Schedule works, coordinate, implement and manage quality service.
  • Perform general structural testing and fitting works on scissors lift trucks.
  • Provide both operational and technical training to stakeholders.
  • Carry out maintenance services and general repairs of vehicles.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, emergency and preventative maintenance of the machinery.
  • Troubleshoot crane problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions.
  • Reassemble cranes and make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation.
  • Interpret manufacturer’s technical manuals to perform the necessary maintenance and repairs needed.
  • Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs.
  • Maintain an organized and neat work area.
  • Cleaning of equipment and other areas as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and rectifying vehicle defects.
  • Conduct diagnostic checks, troubleshooting, automotive transmission and engine overhaul.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Min. of 2 years of working experience. (Experience with Shipyard operation will be an advantage).
  • Fresh graduates/interns are welcome.
  • Meticulous and positive working attitude.
  • Preferably with hydraulic and electrical experience on mobile platforms.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English.
  • Initiative, team player, willing to assume responsibilities and work under pressure.
  • Technical certificate in Engineering field or equivalent.
  • Minimum NTC / ITC / NITEC / Higher NITEC in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Technical Diploma in Automotive Engineering.
