JOB SUMMARY:

The M&E Clerk of Works (Mechanical and Electrical) is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality, standards, and compliance of mechanical and electrical installations on a construction project. The role involves site inspection, monitoring contractor performance, verifying material specifications, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols, and providing detailed reports on site conditions and progress. The M&E Clerk of Works will work closely with project teams, contractors, and quality control personnel to ensure that the M&E aspects of the project are executed according to design specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of [3-5] years of relevant experience in construction, with specific knowledge of M&E systems in large-scale projects.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (ICWCI preferred however not essential and other accreditations accepted.

SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of M&E systems, installation standards, and building codes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify non-conformances in installations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with contractors, clients, and project teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and report-writing skills.
