Description:

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES

  • Diploma in Mechanical technology or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Familiarity with reading and understanding technical drawings and schematics
  • Thorough understanding of techniques in the use of hand tools, soldering, crimping and measurement equipment
  • Excellent manual dexterity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work within a team environment
  • 1 - 2+ years’ experience in a mechanical field
  • Previous experience working in an AS9100 environment an asset
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing an asset
  • Diploma in Mechanical technology or equivalent

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, repair, rework and/or troubleshoot complex opto-mechanical lens assemblies
  • Maintenance of system file and tracking assembly documents
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to scheduled delivery date
  • Generate Non-Conformance Reports
  • Afternoon Shift work required
