Could you be the full-time Mechanical Installation Design Engineer in Copenhagen we’re looking for?
Responsibilities:
YOUR FUTURE ROLE
Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical and electromechanical expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and solution-focused teammates.
You’ll contribute to enhancing the passenger experience by reducing delays and increasing transport capacity through the deployment of ERTMS level 2 baseline 3 signalling technology. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Electrical and Method engineers, Installation teams), coordinate activities, and deliver technical baselines on time, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of designing mechanical solutions, writing technical documentation, and providing technical support to installation teams and suppliers, but also perform Design to Cost analysis.
We’ll look to you for:
- Identification and analysis of environmental features and system constraints
- Developing installation concepts and selecting appropriate components
- Designing mechanical solutions and producing technical documentation
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to organize activities
- Uploading designs and specifications into PLM systems
- Providing ongoing technical support and making design adjustments as necessary
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanics, Electromechanics) or equivalent technical curriculum
- Experience or understanding of the railway industry or similar industrial environments
- Knowledge of CAD software (INVENTOR or similar) and 2D drawings
- Familiarity with sheet metal design and welding processes
- A polyvalent profile with basic electrical and method knowledge
- Proficiency with PLM tools (ENOVIA or similar)
- Technical knowledge of the railway world and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary context
- Excellent English language skills for international collaboration
- Driving license and willingness to travel during preliminary design and installation phase
