Role: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Sydney, NSW
Salary: $80K to $125K plus super

Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
As a talented Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for designing and refining products. You will use your expertise in SolidWorks to create detailed models and drawings, develop prototypes, and ensure the optimal performance of our products. Your work will involve close collaboration with engineering, quality control, and manufacturing teams, contributing to the delivery of reliable, user-focused solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, particularly with injection moulding and electronic products.
- Demonstrated expertise in the conceptualization and development of new products,.
- Advanced proficiency in using SolidWorks software for detailed 3D modeling, 2D drawings, and design simulations, with a strong understanding of design optimization and manufacturing integration.
Responsibilities:
- Create and design innovative products and refine current designs.
- Employ SolidWorks for both 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
- Develop and test prototypes of new products or design concepts, adhering to engineering principles and safety standards.
- Diagnose and address performance issues to ensure products operate at peak efficiency.
- Review and approve samples of new or modified mechanical components, and prepare specifications for the manufacturing team.
- Produce and update essential documentation, including Engineering Change Notes and Part Approval Notes.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and manufacturing teams to streamline work processes.
- Address customer inquiries related to mechanical design.
