Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
A highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic Research and Development team. You will be developing new machinery solutions for challenging conditions, significant experience in designing bespoke machinery combining hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical expertise, and strong practical hands-on skills with out-of-the-box thinking.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on subsea equipment and systems.
  • Proven experience in using SolidWorks for mechanical design and modeling.
  • Familiarity with PDM systems and best practices for data management.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes, particularly in design for low-volume local manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop designs from concept through to manufacture using SolidWorks, including creating detailed manufacturing drawings.
  • Perform calculations to validate designs and produce design reports.
  • Interface with key local suppliers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and project management to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, design reviews, and project updates to stakeholders.
  • Utilize PDM systems to manage design data, track revisions, and ensure version control.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of design changes, approvals, and project milestones.
  • Analyze test data and iterate designs based on findings to achieve optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and operation of equipment.
