At the heart of our team are ventilation specialists with over 40 years experience. Hurley’s Canadian facilities produce affordable newly manufactured ventilation products daily. We provide our customers with a complete range of mining ventilation products that customized to their needs.
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is eager and energetic individual for a position within our company. We offer a very social team environment with many opportunities for advancement within “The Hurley Group” of companies including a comprehensive benefit package.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks and other CAD software is essential.
- Strong mathematical skills for structural analysis using Mathcad or similar tools.
- Experience in project management is a plus.
- Excellent drafting skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about design challenges.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering (P.Eng) required.
- Previous experience in structural design or related internships is advantageous.

Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed structural designs using software such as AutoCAD, and Solidworks
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure designs align with project goals and timelines.
- Draft and prepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, and reports.
- Utilize calculations related to structural analysis and design.
- Perform quality control checks on drawings and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes and best practices.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design practices.
