At the heart of our team are ventilation specialists with over 40 years experience. Hurley’s Canadian facilities produce affordable newly manufactured ventilation products daily. We provide our customers with a complete range of mining ventilation products that customized to their needs.
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is eager and energetic individual for a position within our company. We offer a very social team environment with many opportunities for advancement within “The Hurley Group” of companies including a comprehensive benefit package.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks and other CAD software is essential.
  • Strong mathematical skills for structural analysis using Mathcad or similar tools.
  • Experience in project management is a plus.
  • Excellent drafting skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about design challenges.
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering (P.Eng) required.
  • Previous experience in structural design or related internships is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed structural designs using software such as AutoCAD, and Solidworks
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure designs align with project goals and timelines.
  • Draft and prepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Utilize calculations related to structural analysis and design.
  • Perform quality control checks on drawings and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes and best practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design practices.
