YOUR MISSION:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Senior Engineer with versatile experience in both design and on-site implementation within substation designs, including minisub stations, mobile substations, containerized subs, e-houses, and general mechanical designs in power distribution systems.
The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (desired) or equivalent and optional experience in SolidWorks/Revit.

  • Lead and contribute to project mechanical design and development, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical, civil, and structural components, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical expertise and oversight during on-site implementation, troubleshooting mechanical issues and ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  • Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and cost estimation for mechanical components, optimizing designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in mechanical design processes, leveraging expertise in power distribution systems and related technologies.

Qualifications

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE?

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; Professional registration (ECSA) is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design within substation projects, including minisub stations, mobile substations, containerized subs, e-house, and general power distribution systems.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor is essential, with optional experience in SolidWorks and Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices related to mechanical design in the power industry.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, focusing on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.
