Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Join WSP as a Junior Engineer in our Ottawa, ON office. You be responsible for modeling, drafting, design and site review of mechanical systems for building projects in the public and private sector.
Your duties include assisting with the preparation of engineering drawings for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems. Additional tasks include documenting the current mechanical systems within an existing building, developing as-built Revit models, assisting in the preparation of studies, and assisting with data analysis.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO HERE:
- Operate AutoCAD and/or Revit to prepare engineering drawings.
- Assist with the design of mechanical building systems.
- Coordinate with the project team, external vendors, engineers and architects.
- Execute directions as provided by engineers and management.
- Gather appropriate resources in order to assist in problem solving.
- Occasional local travel will be required depending on project-specific requirements.
- Using various programs to performing calculations.
TO QUALIFY FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR CANADIAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ENHANCED RELIABILITY CLEARANCE. THIS IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT TO WORK WITH SOME OF OUR CLIENTS.
