Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Test Bench Groupe Internship runs from early September until the end of December and gives engineering students an opportunity to complete real work tasks in electrical motors validation and verification laboratory.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS SUMMARY:

  • Proficiency with Siemens NX 3-D modeling software required. If the candidate does not have NX experience proficiency in another program such as CATIA, ProE/Creo, Solidworks, or SolidEdge will be considered,
  • Hands on mechanical aptitude required,
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required,
  • Experience with hydraulic equipment preferred,
  • Experience working with data acquisitions systems and PLC’s preferred,

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Design with support from experience designers set up instructions and work orders for execution by the laboratory operators,
  • Design new tooling for use in the Test Lab.
  • Complete tests for fixturing validation.
  • The intern will work full time during the fall months with the option of working part time during the fall and spring semesters.
