THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for an enthusiastic person with the following qualities:
- Previous drafting and design experience within a consultancy environment – local building services experience is highly valued.
- Previous Revit and AutoCad experience designing mechanical services.
- Dedication to project success and delivery – show us some projects you’ve completed that your passionate about
- An interest in developing learnings of heat load calculations, duct/pipe sizing, static pressure loss calculations, technical specification writing or similar tasks to assist design development process
- Understanding of BCA, NCC and Australian Standards (or willing to learn)
- Enthusiasm in HVAC systems and willingness to attend to the site inspections
- Strong communication skills and contribution to the dynamic team vibe – tell us how you work with others to get the job done
- A relevant Diploma/Degree in Drafting or Engineering
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
Our ACT Mechanical Services team is looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Designer to join the team. The role is based in our Canberra office with the ability to work in a hybrid capacity.
Reporting to our Canberra Mechanical Group Manager, the primary focus of this role will be to successfully plan and complete assigned mechanical drafting projects within the building services industry that meet agreed budgets and deadlines. The ability to consistently produce quality documents in agreed time frames will be key to successfully performing this role.
OTHER KEY COMPONENTS OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE:
- Utilise Revit and AutoCad to create detailed drawings and 3D models for Mechanical Services.
- Ensure that documentation meets industry standards and regulatory frameworks
- Help coordinate the integration of mechanical designs with other building services disciplines which ensures a successful delivery of multidiscipline projects
