Description:
Since 2005, TD Systems has been providing professional engineering services for large, medium and small scale projects. We specialize in new designs and renovations that meet specific design requirements. Our moderate size and systematic management procedures enable us to accomplish a wide range of projects with consistent high-quality engineering.
We are growing and currently looking for a Mechanical Designer to join us in our office in Maple Ridge. The candidate will work collaboratively with the Senior Project Managers and Senior Mechanical Designer to take projects from concept to construction while meeting the client’s expectations and delivering the projects in a timely manner.
Specifically, the Mechanical Designer will…
- Be responsible for the execution and completion of various projects
- Design mechanical building systems, such as HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems usingAutoCAD
- Coordinate between HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection Systems to create working drawings and specifications with in-house team members
- Complete markups from senior staff using AutoCAD
- Understand current construction techniques
- Review and approve shop drawings
- Stay current with the latest publications from local authorities, ASHRAE and ASPE to helpdevelop the group with code updates and good engineering practices.
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in the construction industry in Canada is required
- A strong team player attitude with the ability to effectively adjust to changing priorities and demands
