As a Mechanical and Electrical Coordinator, your role is essential in providing specialized technical and project management support for Mechanical and Electrical scopes of work for commercial construction. You will work as a key member of the project team, ensuring that these aspects are handled efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include implementing project plans, prioritizing safety and quality, and coordinating tasks related to Mechanical and Electrical systems to meet project goals.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Applies the requirements of the Health, Safety & Environmental Plan projects to promote overall compliance with Ledcor HS&E standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations, and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project.
- Ensure Mechanical, Electrical, and IT scopes comply with specifications, drawings, and codes.
- Direct and coordinate mechanical and electrical on-site activities to meet project specifications and codes.
- Manage drawings and information to prevent interference issues.
- Oversee functional performance testing of building systems.
- Support Project Managers and Superintendents with schedule updates, RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and project completion requirements.
- Develop and manage mechanical and electrical schedules, including submissions, deliveries, installations, and inspections; track progress and address delays.
- Maintain regular communication with Mechanical and Electrical sub-trades to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Contribute to M&E Scope of Work and Tender Packages by reviewing specifications, drawings, budgets, and subcontractor contracts
Qualifications:
- You hold a degree or diploma in a construction-related field and have 5+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical construction, or possess an equivalent mix of technical training and experience.
- You possess a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles, and practices.
- You are skilled in proactively identifying, documenting, and effectively managing and resolving problems and conflicts.
- You have experience coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- You are proficient in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and codes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for managing schedules and collaborating with project teams.
- You are adept at using industry-standard software and tools related to mechanical and electrical systems.
