We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer Advisor to join our team in San Diego, California (US-CA), United States (US).
The PMR Coordinator will manage the PMRs, SHIPALTS and A&ls programs for COMSUBPAC submarines in San Diego, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in submarine maintenance, IMA, or submarine repair including significant experience in submarine Quality Assurance (QA), Unrestricted Operations (URO) and Planned Maintenance Requirement (PMR) Programs requirements.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with methods and functions of intermediate and depot level modernization activities and general knowledge of standard methods/direct by-products to substantially improve support, increase productivity, improve effectiveness and reduce cost for all modernization efforts. Strong knowledge of standard methods employed to analyze the effect of general and detailed guidance to fleet modernization activities.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working in a Submarine Material Office Staff (N4 Squadron, FMA, NSSC, or higher).
- Must be a US Citizen-with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior military experience desired.
- 3+ years of experience in Submarine Material Office (Squadron or NSSC) experience.
- Proficient with computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project)
Responsibilities:
- Shall identify and schedule all PMRs, SHIPALTS and A&ls prior to start of each submarine availability.
- Shall maintain the most recent CD-ROM containing the listing of the complete PMR inventory and current TYCOM Alteration Management Systems (TAMS) report.
- Shall ensure each submarine’s TYCOM Alteration Management (TAMS) Report, the Non-Nuclear Title “K” SHIPALT Report and the Nuclear Alteration (NUCALT) Technical Documentation reflect the most current status.
- Shall ensure that the FMA obtains TYCOM Alteration Kits (TYKIT), which are Ready for Issue (RFI).
- Shall ensure Category “A” A&l’s are scheduled for completion within 12 months of the date of authorization.
- Shall ensure that all PMRs, SHIPALTS and A&ls are called down into the current maintenance management program (i.e. VSB or RMAIS) from the SUBMEPP class maintenance database management program Maintenance and Ship Work Planning (M&SWP).
- Shall close out all jobs in the current maintenance management program and manually annotate hard copies of schedules with new last maintenance accomplished date.
- Shall review the Automated Work Package (AWP) so the appropriate PMRs are scheduled.
- As required by the JFMM, shall give all submarine personnel training on the PMR and Fleet Modernization Programs.
- Shall identify and schedule in the current maintenance management program all SHIPALTS and A&ls that are authorized and ready for installation (all material available) on all homeported boats.
