Are you a Mechanical Engineer seeking a new challenge with a well-established and reputable multidiscipline engineering consulting company? We provide engineering services in the building industry including transportation facilities, mission critical (data centers), municipal, commercial, and industrial sectors. We are team oriented and have an extensive and growing client base. We are appreciative of candidates with a willingness to learn and take on added responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years full time design experience as an Engineer or EIT
  • Access to transportation for off-site reviews and inspections
  • Design, modelling and drafting of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, building plumbing systems, fire protection systems, and HVAC control systems, using the latest versions of Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Implementing redline markups from engineers.
  • Working with engineers to ensure that all aspects of the design are coordinated with other disciplines.
  • Design calculations under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.
  • Occasional site visits to survey existing conditions and to document ongoing construction.
  • Continued professional development through participation in internal and external learning opportunities.
  • A valid BC drivers license
    The expected salary for this position is from $75,000 to $105,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing projects from initial engineering design through to construction completion
  • Working directly with clients
  • Successfully shepherding projects to completion with internal staff and other external project team members including building owners, architects, engineers, building officials, and contractors
  • Detailed mechanical design and specification writing
  • Coordination with electrical engineering staff
  • Site investigations, surveys, and audits
  • Report writing and budget costing
  • Tender and construction administration
