Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a Master’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development as a mechanical engineer.
  • Proactive with excellent social skills.
  • Ability to make quick technical decisions while considering the business impact.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical development, including materials (plastics, metal, rubber) and production methods (injection molding, die castings, sheet metal).
  • Experience with CAD and structural calculation.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools like Creo (similar tools: CATIA, Siemens NX).
  • Familiarity with PTC Creo Simulate for FEA (similar tools: Abaqus or Ansys).
  • Familiarity with development methods such as FMEA, DFMA, V-model, DRBFM, and structural analyses (FEA).
  • Good communication skills in English for effective presentation and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Dutch is a plus.

YOUR ROLE

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team in the Communication Systems department. We specialize in the development of mechanical and electronic designs for Conference, Public Address, and Voice Evacuation systems. Our products are renowned for their high quality, durability, and industrial design. We work with a diverse range of clients, including government institutions and world leaders. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document mechanical designs from concept to manufacturing, ensuring they meet all requirements and regulations.
  • Create new design concepts through theoretical calculations, proven technology, or prototypes, and present them to stakeholders for decision-making.
  • Design and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools such as Creo for component manufacturing and product assembly.
  • Estimate development effort and product costs, and plan mechanical activities within project timelines.
  • Define test plans, conduct testing, and prepare test reports.
  • Evaluate components from suppliers and make informed decisions based on technical specifications and quality standards.
